Dr. Timm
Since graduation 20 years ago, I have served the Equine Industry on three continents and back twice.
A graduate of the Veterinary School in Munich, Germany, I left home after two years of equine veterinary experience and finishing my doctorate to pursue my dream of obtaining a residency training in America.
After an internship at California Equine Orthopedics, I entered my Surgery Residency at Louisiana State University in 2007. In 2010, I left for New Zealand fully credentialed and passed my ACVS boards in 2011. In 2012, my wife – a small animal colleague – and me left for Germany. In 2014, I achieved dual accreditation with the European College.
After 4 years, we moved back to Indiana in 2016 to help start Purdue University’s new endeavor of starting a racetrack-near Satellite Hospital with private practice flair.
For the past 7 1/2 years, I have served the Midwest and worked on horses across State Lines and abroad.
This brings the global experience of 20 years in all disciplines of the equine industry with thousands of surgical cases from backyard horses to WEG gold medalists and graded Stakes winners of all racing breeds.
An early interest in advanced imaging including MRI, scintigrahy and CT has complemented my career and diagnostic desire to help my surgical and medical patients alike.
I pride myself as a horseman and diagnostician before being a surgeon.
